Our Team

One reviewer, one fact-checker, one rule: no fact without a source.

Written by Maya Lindqvist, checked by Daniel Okafor · Updated

Casino Reviews Canada is a small editorial team. Two people write and check every review and guide, working to the method on our how we review page: facts from the casino's own pages and the regulator registers, each with its source and the date it was read.

Maya Lindqvist

Casino reviewer. Writes the reviews: what each casino publishes about its licence, provinces, payments, bonus terms and support, and what that means for a player in Canada.

Daniel Okafor

Fact-checker. Checks every fact against its source before a review is published or updated, and replaces anything that cannot be sourced with a dash.

Maya Lindqvist, casino reviewer

Maya writes the reviews and the guides. For each casino she reads the licence entry, the general and bonus terms, the banking pages and the help centre, and turns what they say into plain answers: which site serves your province, what a bonus costs in wagering, how long a withdrawal is stated to take and which terms work against players. She writes the verdict and the score from those facts alone, and states in the verdict when thin facts hold a score down.

Daniel Okafor, fact-checker

Daniel checks every review before it is published or updated. He opens each source link, compares the value on the page with the value in the review, and confirms the check date. When a casino's pages disagree with each other, he makes sure the review quotes both and says so. When a fact cannot be traced to a casino page or a register, he replaces it with a dash.

What neither of us does

We do not sign up, deposit or play at the casinos we review, and we do not claim experiences we have not had. We do not accept payment from reviewed casinos for coverage or scores. The site earns a commission from one partner casino, which is explained on our affiliate disclosure page.

Gambling should stay a choice

Online gambling in Canada is set province by province. Ontario and Alberta license private operators; the other provinces run their own sites, and casinos licensed abroad are not supervised by any Canadian regulator. Real-money play is for adults: 19+, or 18+ in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec.
