OLG online is the internet casino of the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation, the provincial Crown agency that also sells lottery tickets in the province. On OLG.ca, Ontario residents can play slots, live dealer tables, blackjack, roulette, baccarat, video poker and progressive jackpots through the same app that sells lottery tickets.
This review sticks to what OLG publishes itself: the player agreement, the deposit tutorial, the help centre, the responsible-gambling pages and the app listings, all read on 23 October 2026. Where a fact was not available, such as a game count or a testing lab, we say so rather than fill the gap. One limit applies to everything below: OLG only serves people who live in Ontario and are inside the province when they play.
OLG casino bonus: what the $250 sign-up offer asks of you
As of October 2026, the OLG online casino page advertised one welcome deal: sign up and bet $25 on casino games within 14 days, and get a $250 casino bonus. The banner adds the conditions in short form: new accounts only, 10XWR (ten times wagering requirement), 14 days to complete it, and a minimum deposit of $15.
Ten times is a short playthrough by online-casino standards. Our reading is that the 10x applies to the bonus amount only, but the full terms page returned an error and could not be read for this review, so treat that point as unconfirmed until you read the terms in your own account. Here is the plain-dollar version under that reading:
- Deposit at least $15, then place $25 of casino bets inside 14 days.
- OLG credits the $250 casino bonus.
- $250 x 10 = $2,500 in total bets before the bonus money can be withdrawn.
- At $1 a spin, that is roughly 2,500 spins; at $2.50 a spin, about 1,000.
Three things were not available in what we could read: the maximum bet while the bonus is active, how each game type counts towards the 10x, and whether a promo code is needed. The banner itself shows no code. OLG also runs bonus-balance promotions that it says are customised in each account, so existing players may see offers that are not on the public page. The sports side, PROLINE+, has its own separate offer (bet $10, get $100), which is a different promotion from the casino bonus.
Is the OLG sign-up bonus worth taking?
For most Ontario players it is a reasonable deal, mainly because the playthrough is short. The catch is the clock: the $25 qualifying bets and the 10x both sit inside a 14-day window, and $2,500 of play in two weeks is a lot for someone who usually stakes small amounts. Before you opt in, divide $2,500 by your normal bet size and ask whether you would really play that many rounds in 14 days. If not, the bonus may expire unused, and chasing a deadline is exactly the kind of play the responsible-gambling tools below are designed to slow down.
OLG slot games, live casino and table games
OLG does not publish how many games it carries, so we cannot give you a number, and any figure you see quoted for the OLG lobby did not come from OLG's own pages. What the casino page does list is the shape of the library:
- Slots, including progressive jackpots
- Live Casino with real dealers
- Table games: blackjack, baccarat and roulette
- Video poker
Four studios are named on the OLG online casino page: Games Global, IGT, Pragmatic Play and Light & Wonder. That is a solid mix of long-running slot makers, though a short list next to offshore lobbies that name dozens of providers. Titles OLG promotes on its own page include 5 Treasures and Marvelous Mouse Coin Combo.
Instant-win games
The casino page we read did not list instant-win titles or a Plinko game by name, so we cannot confirm what is in that part of the lobby today. If a specific game matters to you, search for it in the lobby before depositing. Every casino game, from a slot to a Plinko-style drop, is built with a house edge, so the long-run return is always below what you stake.

Deposits and withdrawals at OLG online
OLG's cashier is simple and entirely Canadian. Every deposit method needs a Canadian-issued card or account, the minimum deposit is $15 and the stated upper limit per deposit is 999,999. Deposits can be made by:
- Canadian-issued debit card
- Canadian-issued credit card (your bank may charge a cash-advance fee)
- INTERAC e-Transfer
- Apple Pay
Withdrawals are where OLG differs from most casinos. Under the player agreement, money goes out only by electronic transfer to a registered Canadian bank account. Joint accounts are allowed; credit cards are not a withdrawal route. The smallest withdrawal is $2 and there is no maximum on a single withdrawal, which is unusual and helpful for anyone landing a large jackpot. OLG says that in most circumstances it can process a withdrawal within three Business Days. Whether INTERAC e-Transfer can also be used to cash out is not stated, so plan on the bank-transfer route.
OLG may ask for information or documents to confirm your identity or your right to withdraw before it pays out. Crypto is not accepted, and all amounts are in Canadian dollars. No withdrawal fees are listed in the agreement we read.
Cashing out at OLG, step by step
- Register a Canadian bank account in your name (a joint account is accepted).
- Request the withdrawal from your account; the smallest amount is $2.
- Send any identity or entitlement documents OLG asks for.
- Allow up to three Business Days in most cases, plus your own bank's handling time.
Because cards cannot receive withdrawals, a player who deposits only by credit card still needs a bank account on file before winnings can leave the site.

The OLG app, and what to do when it is not working
OLG uses one app for lottery and casino. On the Canadian App Store it is listed as OLG Lottery & Online Casino, with a rating of 4.75 from 390,153 ratings when we checked, and the OLG app Android version is on Google Play. The full casino also runs in a mobile browser, so the app is a convenience rather than a requirement.
The app makes the most sense for players who already use OLG for lottery, since tickets, draw results and the casino sit in one place. If you only want the casino, the browser version needs no download or updates. A 4.75 rating across that many reviews is strong, but it covers the whole app, lottery included, so it says less about the casino lobby on its own.
OLG app not working?
We found no public status page from OLG, so there is no official way to check from outside "is the OLG app down" at a given moment. When the OLG app is not working for you, work through these in order:
- Confirm you are inside Ontario. OLG requires players to be located in the province while they play, so a session started elsewhere will not let you into the games.
- Update the app from the App Store or Google Play, then close and reopen it.
- Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data to rule out your own connection.
- Try the same account in a mobile or desktop browser. If the browser works, the problem is with the app on your device.
- If nothing works, contact OLG LiveChat, available 24/7, or call 1-855-978-7529 or 1-800-387-0098.
Is OLG online gambling safe? Licence and ownership
OLG online gambling sits inside Ontario's regulated market, but it reaches it by a different route than the private brands. Private casinos serving Ontario hold an AGCO registration and an operating agreement with iGaming Ontario. OLG.ca is conducted and managed by OLG itself under the oversight of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO), and it appears in iGaming Ontario's directory of the regulated market as OLG.ca.
The operator named in the site footer is the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation. Because it is a provincial Crown agency, there is no parent company, gambling group or set of sister casinos to trace, which is a plus for transparency. Some details we normally list were not published on the pages we read: a licence or registration number, a registered address and the name of an independent testing lab.
We found no AGCO penalty against OLG.ca in a quick search of public notices. That is not proof that none exists, and we will update this page if one comes to light. The real safety question for most players is simpler: OLG is the province's own site, so the usual worry about an offshore operator refusing a withdrawal does not apply in the same way.
What OLG does not publish
- A licence or registration number for OLG.ca
- The name of an independent lab that tests its games
- A published payout percentage
- A registered address on the casino pages
None of these gaps is a red flag on its own for a Crown agency, but they are details private operators often print in their footers, and we score what is published, not what we assume.
OLG support and French service
OLG support offers more contact routes than most casinos in Canada:
- LiveChat, 24/7
- Phone: 1-855-978-7529 and 1-800-387-0098
- French chat on weekdays from 8 AM to 4 PM (Eastern Time)
The whole site is available in English and French. Outside those weekday hours, French-speaking players can still use the English chat or the phone lines. We found no support email address in OLG's help centre, so live chat or phone are the routes to use for account and payment questions at OLG.
Before you start a chat about a payment, have the date, the amount and the method ready. For a withdrawal query, it also helps to know whether OLG has asked you for documents, because an outstanding identity request is the most likely reason a payout is waiting.
Signing up and logging in at OLG.ca
Registration is open only to Ontario residents. To play casino games you must be at least 19; the 18+ age that applies to OLG lottery products does not extend to the casino. The player agreement also requires you to be physically located in Ontario whenever you play.
Lottery and casino share one app. New players create an account, make a first deposit of at least $15 and register a Canadian bank account for withdrawals. OLG may ask for documents to confirm who you are, typically before paying out.
One term to keep in mind for occasional players: an account becomes Dormant after 36 consecutive months without a player-initiated transaction, and is Deactivated 30 days after that. If you only play now and then, log a transaction before that window closes.
Getting started in four steps
- Check that you are 19 or older and live in Ontario.
- Create an OLG.ca account in the browser or the app.
- Deposit at least $15 by debit card, credit card, INTERAC e-Transfer or Apple Pay.
- Add a Canadian bank account so withdrawals have somewhere to go.
Responsible-gambling tools from OLG
OLG groups its player-protection features under the PlaySmart name. The tools listed are:
- My Play Customizer: set time and money budgets
- My Play History: review what you have played and spent
- Play habits quiz: a short self-check
- Play Break: a pause from one day up to three months
- My PlayBreak: OLG's self-exclusion programme
A budget set before your first session is the most useful of these. If you feel that gambling has stopped being fun, our responsible gambling page lists free, confidential help in every province.
The two break options are easy to confuse. Play Break is a short pause you choose yourself, from one day up to three months, after which play can resume. My PlayBreak is self-exclusion, the stronger step for someone who wants to stop for a longer period. If you are unsure which you need, start with a budget in My Play Customizer and check your history in My Play History after a few sessions. Seeing the real totals is often what tells you whether a break is needed.
Where Canadians can play OLG
OLG is the clearest case of a single-province casino. There is no OLG site for any other part of Canada, and no offshore version of the brand.
| Where you live | Can you use OLG.ca? | What applies instead |
|---|---|---|
| Ontario | Yes, if you live in Ontario and are located there when you play; 19+ for casino | OLG.ca, overseen by the AGCO |
| Alberta | No | Alberta's regulated market: AGLC registration plus an AiGC agreement, live since 13 July 2026; 18+ |
| Quebec | No | The province's own site; 18+ |
| Rest of Canada | No | Each province's own provincially run site |
If you play in Quebec, see our Loto-Québec casino review. For the full province-by-province picture, read playing in Canada.
Who OLG suits, and who should skip it
OLG makes most sense for an Ontario resident who values a provincially run operator over a long game list. The 10x sign-up bonus asks for far less play than typical offshore offers, withdrawals have no upper limit on a single request, and there are several ways to reach a person, including by phone.
- Good fit: Ontario residents, lottery players who like having tickets and casino in one app, players who like low wagering and phone support.
- Poor fit: anyone outside Ontario, players who want crypto or e-wallets, and anyone who wants withdrawals back to a card.
It suits you less if you want crypto, e-wallets or card withdrawals, or if you want to check the exact size of the lobby before joining, because OLG does not publish one. Players who travel often should remember that the account only works inside Ontario. To see how we rated OLG against other casinos, visit all casino reviews or read how we review.
