A BetRivers registration code is really a first-deposit code, and there are two sets of them because BetRivers runs two Canadian sites. Rush Street Interactive Canada, ULC operates on.betrivers.ca for players in Ontario and ab.betrivers.ca for players in Alberta. Everyone else in Canada lands on a location picker with no real-money site for them.
This guide walks through the BetRivers sign up on each site, the documents you may be asked for, how the BetRivers account behaves over time and what to do if access fails. It is based on the two sites' terms and the shared help centre as of October 2026.
BetRivers registration code and the right site
| Ontario | Alberta | |
|---|---|---|
| Site | on.betrivers.ca | ab.betrivers.ca |
| Who can play | 19+ and physically present in Ontario | 18+ and physically present in Alberta |
| Regulator | AGCO, with iGaming Ontario | AGLC, with the Alberta iGaming Corporation |
| First-deposit code | LIONLINK (C$50 minimum) | WELCOME or CASINOBACK (C$10 minimum) |
| Support email | [email protected] | [email protected] |
Typing betrivers.com or betrivers.ca opens a location picker. Choose the province you are in at that moment, not the one on your driver's licence: each site's terms restrict play to people physically present in that province.
BetRivers sign up, step by step
- Open the provincial site from the picker, or install the app from the App Store or Google Play; both sites link to the same listings.
- Register with accurate personal details. The Ontario terms verify your age at registration, and both sites may later ask for documents that must match.
- Set limits in the responsible-gaming settings before your first deposit: deposit, spending, time and wagering limits are available on both sites.
- Make the first deposit with the code if you want the welcome offer: LIONLINK on a single deposit of C$50 or more in Ontario, or WELCOME or CASINOBACK on C$10 or more in Alberta.
- Follow the offer's next step. In Ontario you need 5 Loyalty Points within a day for the first 500 spins; in Alberta, log in on 10 consecutive days to collect 50 spins each day.
The full offer terms are in the BetRivers bonus code guide.

Identity checks and your first withdrawal
Both sites' terms allow BetRivers to request:
- a government ID
- a selfie
- proof of address
- proof that you own the payment method
The Alberta terms add that notarized copies may be requested, and that withdrawals must go to an account in your own name. Withdrawals have a C$10 minimum and go through a standard internal processing time that the casino estimates at 3 business days. After approval, PayPal takes up to 30 minutes, Interac e-Transfer usually under an hour and online banking 2 to 5 business days. Requesting a withdrawal voids any active wagering bonus, so decide about your bonus first.
Your BetRivers account over time
Once the account is open, every real-money wager earns Rush Rewards points, which feed the Bonus Store and your loyalty level. Bonus money you receive can wait in the Bonus Bank until you activate it.
Two account rules are worth knowing. After 365 days without play, the account becomes dormant, then is classed as abandoned and closed one month later, so do not leave a balance sitting for a year. And on the Alberta site, if BetRivers closes an account, only withdrawable cash is refunded; money in the Bonus Bank is not.
When you cannot get in
- Wrong province: the Ontario site will not let you play from Alberta, and the reverse also applies. Both require you to be physically present in the province.
- Outside both provinces: there is no real-money BetRivers site for Quebec or the rest of Canada. can.betrivers.net in the picker is a free-play social site with no real money.
- Dormant account: after a year without play, contact support before the account is closed.
- A break you set: check whether a Cool-Off or self-exclusion you chose is still running.
Live chat is available on both sites, and provincial emails usually get a reply within 2 hours in normal business hours. The phone number differs between pages: 1-855-744-0152 in the Patron Protection terms and 800-590-5498 in the help-centre footer. Both sites also list a login notification among their account tools, a useful extra safeguard.
Cool-Off, self-exclusion and closing the account
In Ontario, a Cool-Off self-suspension pauses the account, RSI's own self-exclusion runs for 6 months, 1 year or 5 years, and BetGuard extends exclusion to all of Ontario's regulated sites. In Alberta, Cool-Off lasts at least 72 hours, and the AGLC self-exclusion programme offers 6 months or 1, 2 or 3 years. Neither programme reaches the other province. More help is on our responsible gambling page, and the rest of the brand is covered in the BetRivers casino review.
