The Bovada online casino does not describe itself as a site for Canadians. Its own homepage says it serves players in the USA, and its terms, banking pages and bonuses are all written around US customers and US dollars.
That is why this page is a status check, not a scored review. Below we set out what Bovada's own pages say as of October 2026: who it is for, which licences it names, how withdrawals work and what the refer-a-friend offer requires. None of it changes the main point for a reader in Canada.
Bovada online casino: who it is for
Bovada's about page says it has been taking bets since December 2011 and calls its poker room the largest in the United States, a claim we have not tested. The site menu splits into sports, casino, live casino, poker and horse racing. Its homepage introduces the brand as a gambling and sports betting site serving players in the USA, and the rest of the site follows that line.
Is Bovada open to Canadians? What its pages say
| Bovada page | What it says |
|---|---|
| Homepage | Serves players in the USA |
| Terms 1.3 | 18 or older, and of legal age where you live |
| Terms 2.2 | Only for residents of places that allow online betting and casino play |
| Terms 2.3 | Barred in 19 US states and Washington DC; no Canadian province mentioned |
| Deposit help page | Crypto, vouchers, major credit cards and some Visa or Mastercard gift cards; no Interac |
| Offers and limits | Quoted in US dollars; no Canadian dollar seen |
Canada is not named as a banned country. It is simply absent: the site makes no offer, currency or payment method for Canadian players. Clause 7.2 puts the duty of checking local law on the player, so anyone in Canada who signs up carries that risk alone.
Licence and the law that governs disputes
Bovada's footer says the site is licensed and regulated by the Union of the Comoros and the Central Reserve Authority of Western Sahara. Its terms are governed by the laws of the Autonomous Island of Anjouan, part of the Union of the Comoros, and say Bovada will not answer claims brought under any other jurisdiction's laws.
For a Canadian, that matters more than any game list. Ontario's legal private sites hold an AGCO registration and an iGaming Ontario agreement; Alberta's hold an AGLC registration under the market that opened on 13 July 2026; the other provinces run their own sites. Bovada holds none of these, so no Canadian regulator can take up a complaint about it.
How to withdraw from Bovada: methods and limits
For readers who already hold an account and want to withdraw money from Bovada, the help centre gives the rules, in US dollars. Anyone asking how to withdraw Bovada winnings from Canada should note that none of them involve Canadian dollars or Interac. Its own pages do not agree on the methods. The withdrawal-methods page lists Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin SV, Litecoin, Ethereum, USD Tether and vouchers, while the limits page adds check by courier, MatchPay and bank wire. Bovada also says your withdrawal method may depend on how you deposited.
The Bovada withdrawal limits page, read on 28 October 2026, shows:
| Method | Minimum | Maximum | How often | Stated time |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Voucher | US$10 | US$3,000 | No limit | Instant |
| MatchPay | US$10 | US$2,000 | 2 per calendar day | Instant |
| Check by courier | US$250 | US$3,000 | 1 per 7 days | 10-15 business days |
| Bank wire | US$1,500 | US$9,500 | 1 per 30 days | 10-15 business days |
| Bitcoin | US$75 | US$9,500 per request | Weekly cap US$90,000 | Up to 24 hours after approval |
Of these, the voucher Bovada lists as instant, with no cap on how often it can be used; voucher deposits, though, do not count towards the refer-a-friend bonus. Large withdrawals can be processed however Bovada judges best, according to the same page.
The casino publishes no payment table we could source.
Bovada casino games and roulette
We did not review the Bovada lobby, so we do not give a count of Bovada casino games or name providers. One rule about Bovada roulette is in writing: in the refer-a-friend terms, roulette play, along with single- and double-deck blackjack, baccarat, craps and Sic Bo, does not count towards the bonus rollover. We found no description of Bovada free roulette, or any demo mode, in the pages we read, so we cannot say whether one exists.
The casino publishes no game counts or provider list we could source.
Bovada refer a friend: the terms
The Bovada refer-a-friend page offers the referring player a 200% match up to US$200, with rollover of 10x on sports, 10x on horses and 30x on casino. Its conditions include:
- The referrer needs a deposit of at least US$20 before the friend joins, and the friend's first deposit must also be at least US$20.
- Player transfers and vouchers do not qualify.
- Using a VPN, proxy or any tool that hides your real location counts as abuse and can cost you the bonus and winnings.
There is no Bovada referral or welcome offer for Canadians as of October 2026, because the site does not market itself to Canada at all.
Bovada alternatives for players in Canada
We do not pick one site as a Bovada replacement. What we can do is show which brands actually accept Canadians and on what terms. Our casino reviews are checked against each casino's own pages, our Ontario guide explains the regulated directory, and playing in Canada walks through each province, including the minimum age (19 in most provinces, 18 in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec). Our review method explains how we judge a site, and responsible gambling lists free help if betting stops feeling under control.
