PowerPlay Canada runs three sites, and Albertans have their own: ab.powerplay.com, run by Trillium Ventures Limited, registered with AGLC and listed by the Alberta iGaming Corporation. Ontario has another, on.powerplay.com, registered with the AGCO since 2023. Everyone else in Canada, Quebec included, uses powerplay.com, run by Deck Entertainment B.V. under a Curacao licence.
The brand was founded in late 2017 and launched in 2018, and it sells itself to Canadians with Interac, CAD accounts and a sportsbook next to the casino. Its regulated sites were not readable from outside their provinces, so most of the detail below, including the bonus, comes from the offshore site's own terms, as of October 2026. We say which site each fact belongs to.
Welcome bonus: three matches up to C$1,000
On powerplay.com the casino welcome offer is a 100% match on each of the first three deposits:
- 1st deposit: 100% up to C$200
- 2nd deposit: 100% up to C$500
- 3rd deposit: 100% up to C$300
That is up to C$1,000 in total. The promotion opens with "Start with $10 and get $10", so the minimum deposit is C$10. "Rollover is 35x" on the bonus, and you have 30 days.
| Deposit and bonus | 35x the bonus | Same target on blackjack (10%) |
|---|---|---|
| C$20 deposit, C$20 bonus | C$700 | C$7,000 |
| C$200 first deposit, C$200 bonus | C$7,000 | C$70,000 |
| C$500 second deposit, C$500 bonus | C$17,500 | C$175,000 |
| C$300 third deposit, C$300 bonus | C$10,500 | C$105,000 |
| All three, C$1,000 | C$35,000 | C$350,000 |
The Ontario and Alberta offers could not be read, so do not assume the same package there. Sports bettors have a separate first-deposit offer on the offshore site: a 100% sports bonus up to C$500. If you mainly place a PowerPlay bet on hockey or football, compare the two before your first deposit, because both are first-deposit offers.

Wagering in plain dollars - Main site
Deposit C$100 and take the 100% match: the bonus is C$100. At x35 on the bonus (C$100), you must place C$3,500 in bets before bonus winnings can be withdrawn.
Worked from the published match, multiplier and wagering base source. Games that count less than 100% make the real figure higher.
Ontario site: Ontario's regulator allows casino bonuses to be advertised only on the casino's own site (AGCO Standard 2.05), so its offer is not listed here.
Bonus terms that bite
- Maximum win C$4,000: the casino bonus terms cap bonus winnings at C$4,000, however much the bonus turns into.
- C$25 stake limit: stakes above C$25 do not count towards the rollover. They are not banned, but they do nothing for your target.
- Game weighting: slots and scratch cards 100%; live casino games other than roulette, blackjack and baccarat 50%; roulette and blackjack 10%; poker and dice games 5%; baccarat and progressive slots 0%.
- Withdrawal fee: withdrawing when less than 50% of your deposits have been wagered costs a 5% processing fee, minimum C$3.
The cap and the stake limit work together. Take the C$200 first-deposit bonus: 35x is C$7,000 of slot play, which at C$1 a spin is 7,000 spins, and even a lucky run ends at C$4,000 in bonus winnings. Bets of C$26 or more would speed nothing up, because they simply do not count. The progressive-slot rule is also easy to miss. PowerPlay jackpot slots count nothing towards the rollover, so a bonus is no help if those are the games you came for.
Games: what PowerPlay does and does not publish
PowerPlay publishes no game count, no list of studios and no featured titles in the pages we could read. We do not fill the gap with numbers from other review sites. What the bonus terms do confirm is the range of categories the casino carries:
- slots and progressive jackpot slots
- scratch cards and dice games
- roulette, blackjack, baccarat and poker
- other live casino games
That tells you the lobby covers the usual categories, but not how deep each one is or who makes the games. No testing-lab certificate or payout percentage was available either, so we cannot quote a return rate. The low games score reflects that missing information.
The casino publishes no game counts or provider list we could source.
Deposits, withdrawals and limits
PowerPlay's payment page shows method icons without names; the names below come from the guide screenshots on each row, which is our reading and worth confirming in the cashier. Each row lists free deposits, a C$5,000 maximum and instant processing.
| Deposit method | Maximum deposit | Time | Fee |
|---|---|---|---|
| Interac | C$5,000 | Instant | Free |
| Mastercard | C$5,000 | Instant | Free |
| CryptoPay (crypto) | C$5,000 | Instant; partner time 30 minutes | Free |
| MuchBetter | C$5,000 | Instant | Free |
| Paysafecard | C$5,000 | Instant | Free |
Accounts work in Canadian dollars. Crypto deposits go through CryptoPay, and the page shows a Bitcoin logo, but the accepted coins are not listed.
Withdrawals
PowerPlay does not publish which methods pay out or how long withdrawals take. It does publish limits: C$20,000 per day and C$100,000 in any 7-day period, with maximum winnings of C$100,000 per week. Proof of ID and proof of address are required before the first withdrawal. Payments are processed by Finacol Limited, a Cypriot company. Remember the 5% fee if you withdraw before wagering half your deposits.

PowerPlay app and mobile play
No PowerPlay app appears in our research for any of the three sites: no App Store or Google Play listing was recorded. The casino works in a mobile browser, so for now the PowerPlay app is effectively the website on your phone. That also means there is no store listing to confirm the operator, so check the address bar instead: powerplay.com offshore, on.powerplay.com in Ontario and ab.powerplay.com in Alberta.
Licence, owner and safety
- Offshore site: Deck Entertainment B.V., KeyUno Building, Pareraweg 45, Curacao, company number 144851, under Curacao Gaming Authority licence OGL/2024/999/0482. The licence is stated in the footer; we did not open the validator.
- Ontario site: Trillium Ventures Limited, doing business as PowerPlay, registered with the AGCO and operating under an agreement with iGaming Ontario. The iGaming Ontario directory lists it as Power Play for casino and sports betting.
- Alberta site: Trillium Ventures Limited, registered with AGLC and listed by the Alberta iGaming Corporation. The registration expires on 13 July 2027.
A Curacao licence is not a provincial licence: complaints on powerplay.com go to the operator and the Curacao authority, not to a Canadian regulator. Ontario and Alberta players are on sites overseen by their own province. We have no record of public regulator actions against PowerPlay.
Two clauses on the offshore site deserve a warning. An account with no transaction for six months becomes dormant; after a 14-day notice it is closed and the remaining funds are "ceased". And the 5% early-withdrawal fee described above. If you stop playing, withdraw your balance before the six months are up.
How to sign up and log in
Start with the site for where you are. Ontario players register on on.powerplay.com and must be physically in Ontario; Albertans use ab.powerplay.com; everyone else uses powerplay.com, whose terms set 18+ or the legal age of majority where you deposit and bet. The three are separate accounts, so a login made on one will not open another.
- Open the right site and complete the registration form with your legal details.
- Note that the offshore site works in Canadian dollars.
- Make a first deposit of at least C$10 if you want the welcome match, or skip the bonus and play with cash.
- Upload proof of ID and proof of address early, since both are required before the first withdrawal.
If a login fails, check you are on the site where you registered, then contact 24/7 live chat. An offshore account that has gone six months without a transaction may already have been closed under the dormancy rule, so log in at least occasionally if you keep a balance there.
Customer support
Support is listed as 24/7 with live chat and email at [email protected], which the Ontario site shares. The support page carries a phone link, but no number is printed. The offshore site is in English only, and no French version was recorded, which matters for Quebec players.
Responsible gambling
We could not capture PowerPlay's responsible-gambling tools on any of its sites, so we cannot list its limits or self-exclusion periods. Ask live chat which deposit and loss limits are available before your first deposit. In Ontario and Alberta, the provinces run their own central self-exclusion schemes for registered sites. The dormancy rule also has a safety angle: an idle balance can be lost, so keep track of the account. Casino games carry a house edge. Help lines for every province are on our responsible gambling page.
PowerPlay Canada: Alberta, Ontario and the other provinces
| Where you are | Site | Operator and regulator |
|---|---|---|
| Calgary and the rest of Alberta | ab.powerplay.com | Trillium Ventures Limited, AGLC and Alberta iGaming Corporation |
| Ontario | on.powerplay.com | Trillium Ventures Limited (dba PowerPlay), AGCO and iGaming Ontario |
| Quebec and other provinces | powerplay.com | Deck Entertainment B.V., Curacao |
PowerPlay Ontario is a separate lane: powerplay.com lists Ontario as a restricted territory, and on.powerplay.com is only for players physically located in Ontario. The PowerPlay Ontario casino has been registered with the AGCO since 2023. Its own offer and cashier pages were not readable from outside the province, but an archived sitemap shows separate terms, casino terms, payment options and FAQ pages, so expect its rules to differ from the offshore ones described here.
Alberta is less tidy. Its regulated market opened on 13 July 2026 and ab.powerplay.com is on the register, yet the powerplay.com footer still lists Alberta among the provinces it serves. If you are in Calgary or anywhere in Alberta, use the AGLC-registered site, not the Curacao one. Searches for "powerplay com" land on that Curacao site, which sets 18+ or the legal age of majority where you play, meaning 19 in most provinces. More on the provincial rules is in our guide to playing in Canada.
Who PowerPlay suits
PowerPlay Canada makes sense for a player outside Ontario who wants a casino and sportsbook in one account, Interac and crypto deposits, high withdrawal limits and 24/7 chat. The 35x welcome bonus is standard, with a fair 30 days to clear it.
It is a weaker choice if you care about game choice you can verify, French service or an app. The C$4,000 bonus win cap and the six-month dormancy rule are the terms to remember. If you are reading PowerPlay reviews to make up your mind, start with those two clauses. Compare it with other brands in all our reviews, and see how we review for how the 4.7 was reached.
