Ontario's regulator allows casino bonuses to be advertised only on the casino's own site (AGCO Standard 2.05), so we do not list this site's offer.

The casino's own offer, quoted from its terms as of 23 October 2026. 19+ (18+ in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec), terms apply; wagering must be met before bonus winnings can be withdrawn.

The Ontario PointsBet bonus for casino players is a first-deposit match: enter CASINO, deposit C$10 or more, and PointsBet adds 125% of it, up to C$500. The bonus must then be played through 15 times within 14 days before its winnings turn into cash. Those terms come from PointsBet's Canadian help centre and were checked on 23 October 2026.

This page works through what the offer is worth at different deposit sizes, the rules that can cost you the bonus, the smaller PointsBet promotions that follow it, and what is known about an Alberta offer. For the payments, app and licence details, see the full PointsBet casino review.

The CASINO match: five rules that decide it

Five conditions shape the offer. Read together, they explain both its appeal and its limits.

  1. It is tied to the first deposit. The match applies once. If that opening payment is under C$10, the offer is forfeited and a later, larger deposit does not revive it.
  2. The multiple is 15 and it is counted on the bonus. Your own deposit is not added into the sum, which keeps the total far smaller than a deposit-plus-bonus rule would.
  3. The window is 14 days. Play-through has to be finished in your first 14 days. Whatever bonus remains after that expires.
  4. Stakes are split. Each bet is drawn half from cash and half from bonus funds, so the bonus is used up alongside your own money rather than after it.
  5. There is a maximum stake. A bet above the limit allowed with a bonus is rejected. The limit is set game by game, so check the game's information screen before raising the stake.

Two items commonly found in bonus terms are not stated in the help centre articles: a cap on what bonus winnings can be cashed out, and a table of how much each game type counts. The offer is described as applying to casino games. If either point matters to how you play, ask support and keep the answer.

What the Ontario PointsBet bonus costs in bets

Wagering is the total value of bets you must place, not money you lose, but every bet carries the game's house edge. Here is the requirement at deposit sizes the review page does not cover:

DepositBonus addedStarting balanceBets required (15 x bonus)
C$20C$25C$45C$375
C$50C$62.50C$112.50C$937.50
C$300C$375C$675C$5,625
C$1,000C$500 (cap)C$1,500C$7,500

The last row shows why the cap matters. Above a C$400 deposit the bonus stops growing, so the extra money is simply your own balance at a lower match rate: C$1,000 in earns C$500, a 50% effective match.

A rough way to judge feasibility is bet count. At C$1 a spin, a C$62.50 bonus needs 938 spins in two weeks; at C$2 a spin, a C$500 bonus needs 3,750. If that pace is not how you normally play, a smaller deposit, or no bonus at all, is the calmer choice.

PointsBet Canada casino promo code vs sportsbook codes

A PointsBet Canada casino promo code is easy to confuse with the sportsbook codes, because the brand runs both. The help centre keeps them apart:

  • CASINO - the casino welcome match described on this page.
  • WELCOME, WELCOMEDM and WELCOMEBG - sportsbook sign-up offers, with their own terms.

We found no casino no-deposit code and no free-spin package in the Canadian terms as of October 2026. If a page elsewhere quotes a different PointsBet casino code, check it against the help centre before relying on it.

Other PointsBet promotions

The help centre names these ongoing PointsBet promotions for Canadian accounts:

  • PointsBet Rewards, where activity earns Rewards Points;
  • Toonie Tuesday, a casino promotion;
  • Bet Insurance, also listed on the casino side;
  • Refer a Friend, the referral programme.

The articles we read do not give the value of a Rewards Point, the prize on Toonie Tuesday or the payout rules for Bet Insurance and referrals, and we do not fill those gaps. Each runs under its own terms inside the account. A sensible habit is to read the opt-in conditions for wagering, expiry and maximum stake, the same three lines that decide the welcome match.

Is there a PointsBet bonus in Alberta?

There is no PointsBet bonus for Alberta yet because there is no Alberta casino yet. The pre-registration page at pointsbet.ca promises an "exclusive welcome offer" when the site launches but publishes no amount, wagering or expiry. Until those terms exist, any Alberta figure you see is a guess. The province's age rule is stated as 18+, against 19+ in Ontario.

Outside those two provinces the question does not arise: Quebec is excluded, and players elsewhere in Canada cannot place bets on the Ontario site. Our guide to playing in Canada explains which sites each province can legally use.

Should you take it?

The CASINO match is worth taking for an Ontario player who would deposit at least C$10 anyway, plays slots or other casino games at small stakes, and can play steadily over two weeks. For that player the 15x rule on the bonus alone is a realistic target.

It is less suited to someone who plays in short bursts, prefers large stakes that may exceed the per-game bonus limit, or would chase the requirement to save the bonus before day 14. The match is only added when the code is entered, so leaving CASINO out is a valid choice too. Set a deposit limit before you start; the tools are listed on our responsible gambling page.

Gambling should stay a choice

Online gambling in Canada is set province by province. Ontario and Alberta license private operators; the other provinces run their own sites, and casinos licensed abroad are not supervised by any Canadian regulator. Real-money play is for adults: 19+, or 18+ in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec.
