The PointsBet sign up code for the casino is CASINO: entered with a first deposit of at least C$10, it adds a 125% match worth up to C$500 in casino bonus, with 15 times play-through on the bonus to finish inside 14 days. Those are the terms in PointsBet's Canadian help centre as of October 2026, and they apply only on the Ontario site.
That is the first thing to know about PointsBet casino in Canada. The brand runs a regulated Ontario site under PointsBet Canada Operations 1 Inc, holds an Alberta registration for a site that has not opened yet, and has no offshore casino at all. This review of the PointsBet online casino Ontario players use covers the bonus maths, payouts, the app, the safety tools and what players in Calgary or Montreal can do with an account.
PointsBet sign up code CASINO: the 125% match
The welcome offer is a single-deposit match, not a ladder spread over several payments. The help centre sets it out as follows:
- Code: CASINO, entered with the first deposit.
- Match: 125% of that deposit, up to C$500 in casino bonus.
- Minimum deposit: C$10. A first deposit below that forfeits the offer, and there is no second chance with a later payment.
- Play-through: 15 times the bonus amount, completed within your first 14 days. After that the remaining bonus expires and is lost.
- Stakes: each bet is split 50% from your cash and 50% from the bonus, and bets above the maximum stake allowed with a bonus are rejected. The cap is set per game rather than as one figure.
The sportsbook has its own codes (WELCOME, WELCOMEDM and WELCOMEBG). They belong to the betting side and should not be confused with CASINO.
The 15x requirement in Canadian dollars
The multiple applies to the bonus alone, not to deposit plus bonus. A 125% match reaches the C$500 ceiling at a C$400 deposit; anything above that adds no extra bonus.
| First deposit | Bonus at 125% | Wagering at 15x the bonus | Average needed per day over 14 days |
|---|---|---|---|
| C$10 | C$12.50 | C$187.50 | about C$13.40 |
| C$100 | C$125 | C$1,875 | about C$134 |
| C$200 | C$250 | C$3,750 | about C$268 |
| C$400 | C$500 (cap) | C$7,500 | about C$536 |
The daily column is simply the total divided by 14. It is there to show the pace the clock imposes: a full C$500 bonus asks for more than C$500 in bets every day for two weeks. The help centre does not say whether the cash half of each split stake counts towards the 15 times or only the bonus half, so ask support before you plan around either reading. Every bet carries the game's house edge, and the expected result of C$7,500 in wagers is a loss, not a profit.
Rewards, Toonie Tuesday and other promotions
Beyond the welcome match, the help centre lists a few recurring features rather than a long promotions calendar:
- PointsBet Rewards, which earns Rewards Points;
- Toonie Tuesday and Bet Insurance, both described as casino promotions;
- Refer a Friend, the brand's referral scheme.
The help centre names these schemes but, in the articles we read, gives no amounts or wagering rules for them. Treat each one as a separate offer with its own terms and read them in the account before opting in. Our PointsBet bonus page goes through the welcome match and these extras in more detail.

Ontario site: Ontario's regulator allows casino bonuses to be advertised only on the casino's own site (AGCO Standard 2.05), so its offer is not listed here.
Games at PointsBet casino Ontario
PointsBet casino Ontario keeps its lobby behind the login, and the logged-out pages publish no game count, no split between slots, tables and live dealers, and no list of studios. We therefore give no number here, and the games score reflects that.
Two titles are named in the help centre: Golden Wealth Baccarat, used as the example in an article on minimum and maximum bets, and Aviator, the crash-style game. Beyond those, we cannot tell you what the library contains.
On fairness, PointsBet says its random number generators are independently tested and certified by regulated external testing agencies. It does not name the lab or link a certificate. Instead of a site-wide payout figure, each game shows its theoretical return to player in its Information or Help section. That is the number worth checking before you play a title: it describes the long-run average across all players, not what any one session will return.

Deposits, limits and PointsBet withdrawal time
The cashier is built around Canadian dollars, and there is no crypto option: the house rules exclude it. Six methods are listed, and only three work in both directions.
| Method | Deposit | Withdrawal | Stated time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Interac e-Transfer | Yes | Yes | 1-2 hours after processing, or 1-2 business days (two articles differ) |
| PayPal | Yes | Yes | 30 minutes |
| Trustly Online Banking | Yes | Yes | 1-2 business days |
| Visa, Mastercard, Amex | Yes, instant | No | - |
| Apple Pay | Yes, instant | No | - |
| Google Pay | Yes, instant | No | - |
PointsBet withdrawal time, step by step
The PointsBet withdrawal time has three parts. Every request first goes through a standard processing period of 1 business day. If the payments team needs to verify a withdrawal, that check can take 3 to 5 business days. Only then does the method's own time apply. The Interac figure is the one to treat with care: one help article gives 1 to 2 hours after processing, another gives 1 to 2 business days for the same method, and PointsBet has not reconciled them.
No withdrawal cap is published. The house rules do say that payouts over C$10,000 may be delayed 24 to 48 hours for processing. Withdrawals go only to an account in the account holder's own name, and Interac is limited by your bank's own transfer limits.
Card deposits carry no PointsBet fee, but the issuing bank may treat a casino payment as a cash advance and charge for it. If you deposit by card, money comes back by Interac, PayPal or Trustly, since cards are deposit-only.

The PointsBet mobile app and browser play
The PointsBet mobile app is one combined product for sports betting and casino. It is listed as "PointsBet Sportsbook & Casino" in the Canadian App Store and is on Google Play, and the site also runs in a phone browser. For the PointsBet app, Ontario is the only province where it takes real-money casino bets today, because the location rule follows the player, not the device.
The Alberta pre-registration page carries its own app links. Until the Alberta site goes live, they do not open a working casino for players in that province.
The store listings, not this page, are the place to check device requirements and recent ratings, since both change with each update.
Licence, owner and safety
PointsBet's Ontario site carries the line "Licensed and regulated by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario. Under the conduct and management of iGaming Ontario." That is the standard Ontario arrangement: an AGCO registration plus an operating agreement with iGaming Ontario. The brand appears in iGaming Ontario's directory of regulated sites for both casino and sports betting. The AGCO registration number itself is not published on the site, so the directory is the check to use.
The operator is PointsBet Canada Operations 1 Inc, the same company that holds the Alberta registration. Its About page describes the parent as an online gaming operator listed on the Australian Stock Exchange, with operations in Australia, Canada, Ireland and the United States. We have not checked any later change of ownership against an operator source, so we report the statement as the site makes it.
Other safety points from the terms and help centre:
- Members must be 19 or older in Ontario, and must be physically in the province to place a bet.
- PointsBet holds RG Check accreditation from the Responsible Gambling Council.
- Dormant accounts are frozen for inactivity under clause 1.13 of the terms; the balance can be recovered.
Support: chat, phone and email
Support is one of the brand's stronger areas on paper. PointsBet lists three routes, all described as available 24/7:
- live chat;
- email to [email protected];
- phone on 1-833-441-1940.
The help centre is where PointsBet publishes most of its rules, and most of the facts on this page come from it. French is the gap: the Ontario site lists English as its only language, and we found no statement that French support is offered. Francophone players in Ontario should ask before relying on it.
Signing up, verifying and logging in
Opening a PointsBet casino account in Ontario follows the regulated pattern. PointsBet first tries an automatic identity match at sign-up. When that match fails, the help centre asks for images of your ID and a selfie, and says the accounts team can take up to 24 hours to verify you and open the account.
Enter the CASINO code with the first deposit and keep that deposit at C$10 or more, or the welcome match is lost. Afterwards you log in through the app or the browser. Betting needs you to be in Ontario, while deposits and withdrawals work from any province, so a login from Winnipeg or Vancouver is good for banking only.
If a login or verification stalls, the help centre's account articles are the first stop, then live chat or the toll-free line. Self-exclusion and permanent closure are handled through support too, as the next section explains.
Responsible-gambling tools
PointsBet lists these limit and break tools:
- deposit limits by day, week or month;
- a loss limit and a spend limit;
- a limit on time spent on the site;
- Take a Break, for a short pause;
- self-exclusion for 6 months, 1 year or 5 years, with permanent exclusion arranged through support.
Ontario players can also enrol in BetGuard, iGaming Ontario's tool, which PointsBet lists among its options. Provincial self-exclusion covers only that province's regulated sites, so it will not block offshore casinos. ConnexOntario offers free, confidential help for Ontario residents. Our responsible gambling guide lists the helpline for every province.
PointsBet casino Canada: Ontario, PointsBet Alberta and the rest
PointsBet's Canadian footprint is narrow, and the rules differ in a way that matters for anyone who travels.
| Province | Status in October 2026 | Age | Operator and approval |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ontario | Live casino and sportsbook | 19+ | PointsBet Canada Operations 1 Inc; AGCO registration and iGaming Ontario agreement |
| Alberta | "Coming Soon", pre-registration only | 18+ (stated) | Same company; AGLC registration to 13 July 2027, not yet in the AiGC directory of registered sites |
| Quebec | Not accepted | - | - |
| Rest of Canada | No betting; deposits and withdrawals allowed | - | - |
PointsBet Alberta: still a holding page
Players in Calgary or Edmonton find a holding page. As of 23 October 2026 the Alberta site says pre-registration is open and promises an "exclusive welcome offer" at launch, without terms. Its footer adds that availability depends on "successful execution of an Operating Agreement" in each province. The AGLC lists PointsBet Canada Operations 1 Inc. as a registered iGaming operator, but Alberta iGaming Corporation had not listed a PointsBet site that day, so no real-money PointsBet casino is open to Albertans yet. Alberta's regulated market for private operators has been live since 13 July 2026, so a PointsBet launch would sit inside it.
An Ontario account holder who visits Alberta or any other province can still log in, deposit and withdraw, according to the help centre. The only thing blocked outside Ontario is placing bets. Quebec residents have Loto-Québec, and every province's lane is laid out in our guide to playing in Canada.
Our PointsBet Ontario review verdict: who it suits
PointsBet suits an Ontario player who wants a modest welcome match with light wagering, quick PayPal or Interac payouts and a sportsbook in the same app. At 15 times the bonus over 14 days, the CASINO offer is easy to work out in dollars, though the clock is short.
It is a weaker choice for someone who picks a casino by the size of its game library, because PointsBet publishes no count and no studio list, or for anyone who needs service in French. Albertans should wait for the launch and read the terms that come with it; players elsewhere in Canada cannot bet here at all.
