888 Starz Casino Review 2026: Who Runs It for Canadians?

A sportsbook-and-casino brand with Curacao, Kahnawake and Anjouan records and thin Canadian detail

1.5/10

Our score

Our verdict

888Starz suits almost no one who wants clear terms. Its 888starz.bet site holds an active Curacao licence, but two other companies and two other regulators are attached to the brand, and nothing readable says which one a Canadian player contracts with. Its Canadian bonus, wagering, payment methods and support could not be confirmed, which is why the score is so low. Skip it if you want Interac certainty or a provincial licence. Watch any app download offered outside the official stores.

Pros

  • Curacao licence OGL/2024/665/0201 for 888starz.bet shows as Active on the regulator's certificate
  • Canadian dollars offered as a currency, according to a December 2025 archived copy
  • Site language selector of 60 languages, French included

Cons

  • Three companies and three regulators linked to the brand; unclear which one serves Canadians
  • Canadian bonus terms, wagering and payment methods could not be confirmed
  • No support channels confirmed, and no iOS app in the Canadian App Store
  • No provincial licence: not regulated in Ontario, Alberta or any other province

This 888 Starz casino review deals with a brand that is easier to find than to pin down. 888starz.bet is a sportsbook and casino whose site settings give 2020 as its founding year, and it holds an active Curacao licence in the name of Bittech B.V. The same brand also appears on a Kahnawake Gaming Commission certificate under a second company, and on an Anjouan licence for 888starz.com under a third.

In October 2026 the live site was blocked from Spain and Romania, so most details here come from archived copies made in 2024 and 2025. Those copies show the site offering Canadian dollars, but not its Canadian terms, its payment list or its support page. What follows keeps the confirmed apart from the unknown, as of October 2026.

Three companies, three regulators

The records for 888Starz name three operating companies and three licences, and they do not all cover the same website:

WebsiteCompanyRegulator and licenceStatus
888starz.betBittech B.V., Curacao company number 153870Curacao Gaming Authority, OGL/2024/665/0201, granted 7 March 2025Active on 28 October 2026
888starz.bet/enStarshine Global Services LimitedKahnawake Gaming Commission, certificate for '888 Starz' dated 14 March 2024, no number shownOn the permit-holder list, 23 October 2026
888starz.comMDBet LimitedAnjouan, ALSI-042402010-FI4, issued 22 February 2024Valid, expires 21 February 2027

The Curacao certificate is the clearest record: it states that 888starz.bet is operated by Bittech B.V. under that licence. The Kahnawake permit names a different company for the English section of the same domain, and the Anjouan licence covers only the .com address. None of the pages we could read says which of these companies a Canadian player's account is with, and that is the single biggest gap in this review.

The licence has also changed over time. A 2024 footer cited Curacao licence '#8048/JAZ2020-048', since replaced by the current number. Bittech's registered address could not be confirmed for this review.

888Starz timeline: from 2020 to three licences

Putting the dated records in order shows how the brand's paperwork has shifted:

DateRecord
2020Founding year in the site's own settings, shown in a 2024 footer as 'Copyright © 2020 - 2024'
22 February 2024Anjouan licence ALSI-042402010-FI4 issued to MDBet Limited for 888starz.com
14 March 2024Kahnawake certificate for '888 Starz' dated
May 2024Footer cites Curacao licence '#8048/JAZ2020-048'
7 March 2025Current Curacao licence OGL/2024/665/0201 granted, operator Bittech B.V.
December 2025Archived lobby serves Canadian-dollar visitors under the Bittech licence block
October 2026Curacao licence Active; Starshine Global Services Limited still on the Kahnawake list; live site blocked from Spain and Romania
21 February 2027Anjouan licence for 888starz.com due to expire

We found no explanation from the casino for the change of Curacao licence number, and none of these records says who holds Canadian accounts.

888 Starz casino and Canada: what the archived site shows

A copy of the casino lobby archived in December 2025, made with Canadian dollars as the visitor's currency, shows the site serving Canadian-currency visitors with the Curacao licence block for Bittech B.V. That is the strongest evidence that Canadians were being served at the time.

What could not be read: the general terms, any list of restricted countries, and any rule about Canadian provinces. So this review cannot say whether Ontario, Alberta, Quebec or any other province is excluded, or what minimum age the casino applies. In Canada the legal age is 19 in most provinces and 18 in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec, whatever an offshore site states.

None of the three licences is provincial:

  • Ontario: regulated online casinos hold AGCO registration and an iGaming Ontario operating agreement. 888Starz has neither. See our Ontario guide.
  • Alberta: the AGLC-regulated market, with AiGC agreements, has been live since 13 July 2026, and 888Starz is not part of it.
  • Quebec and the rest of Canada: regulated play runs through each province's own site; 888starz.bet is offshore.

The 888Starz welcome bonus: a euro offer with unseen terms

The only welcome offer on record is the version shown to a visitor paying in euros, archived in November 2025. The page title read '888STARZ Bonus up to €1500', split over four deposits:

DepositMatchCapFree spinsDeposit needed for the full cap
1st100%€30030€300
2nd50%€35035€700
3rd25%€40040€1,600
4th25%€45045€1,800

That adds up to 150 free spins. The Canadian version of the offer was not captured, so the dollar amounts, if any, may differ.

More important, the bonus terms behind it could not be read. The wagering requirement, what it applies to, the minimum deposit, the maximum bet, the expiry and the game weighting are all unknown. Without those, the offer cannot be valued: a 100% match can be worth a little or close to nothing depending on the wagering. Anyone considering it should read the rules for the first deposit bonus in full, in their own account, before opting in.

Other promotions on the archived site

The same November 2025 copy, again in its euro version, listed a set of extras:

  • VIP cashback of up to 11% on casino games.
  • A birthday bonus of 20 free spins or a free bet.
  • A Promo Code Store.
  • A daily 888Games tournament.
  • 88 free spins for subscribers to the casino's Telegram channel.
  • Gifts on Aviator Mondays.

None of their terms were captured. Treat each as a heading to look into, not as a confirmed offer for Canadian players.

Games, sportsbook and live casino

888starz.bet combines a sportsbook with a casino, and the archived lobby shows a Live Casino section. Beyond that, the records hold no game count, no split by category, no list of software studios and no featured titles. This review therefore gives the games category a score of 1 out of 10, because a missing fact is never rewarded under our review method.

No testing-lab certificate and no published payout percentage were found either. Whether the games are independently tested is unknown.

  • Live: Live Casino section exists source

Payments: Canadian dollars, little else confirmed

The December 2025 copy lists CAD as the visitor's currency. That is the only payment fact on record. Everything else a Canadian would want to know is missing:

  • Whether Interac is offered for deposits or withdrawals.
  • Whether crypto is accepted, and which coins.
  • Minimums, maximums and fees per method.
  • How long withdrawals sit pending, and any daily, weekly or monthly limits.
  • When identity checks happen and which documents are needed.

Before depositing anywhere with this many gaps, open the cashier and the terms in your own account, note the withdrawal limits and fees, and keep copies.

The casino publishes no payment table we could source.

The 888Starz app question

No 888Starz app appears in the Canadian App Store. The archived site did promote an '888STARZ mobile app', with a free bet for installing it, but no store listing for it was found. An Android app that is not on Google Play would have to be installed from a file downloaded from the web, so it would not have passed through Google Play's own review.

The site also works in a mobile browser, and that is the route this review can confirm. Anyone who does install the promoted app should be sure the file comes from the casino's own domain, not from a third-party site.

Support, French and responsible gambling

No support details could be read: no live chat hours, no email address and no phone line are confirmed. That is why support scores zero here. The site's language selector lists 60 languages, English and French among them, but whether agents answer in French is unknown.

For responsible gambling, the only tool on record is self-exclusion: an archived account message reads 'You have enabled the self-exclusion feature'. Deposit limits, loss limits and time-outs may exist, but they are not confirmed. Provincial self-exclusion programs cover only provincially regulated sites, so they will not block 888Starz. Our responsible gambling page lists free help in every province.

888Starz is not 888 Casino

The shared '888' prefix causes confusion. Nothing in 888Starz's licence records connects it to 888 Casino: the companies named for 888Starz are Bittech B.V., Starshine Global Services Limited and MDBet Limited, and the operator names no sister brands. The two should be judged separately, and the 888 Casino review covers that brand on its own facts.

Before depositing: five questions to settle

With so much unconfirmed, the useful thing this review can offer is a list of what to find out first. Each point matches a gap in the public record, and each answer should come from the casino's own terms or cashier, saved as a screenshot or PDF:

  1. Who is my contract with? Find the company and licence number in the footer of the version of the site you actually use, and check whether it is Bittech B.V., Starshine Global Services Limited or MDBet Limited.
  2. What does the welcome bonus cost in wagering? Find the multiplier, whether it applies to the bonus or to deposit plus bonus, the maximum bet and the expiry. Only then can the bonus be valued in dollars.
  3. Can I withdraw the way I deposit? Confirm that Interac, or whichever method you use, works for withdrawals as well as deposits.
  4. What are the withdrawal limits and fees? Look for daily, weekly and monthly caps, pending times and any fee for withdrawing.
  5. Which limits can I set myself? Check whether deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion can be set in the account, before the first deposit rather than after.

If the answers are hard to find, that is an answer too.

Who 888 Starz casino suits

On the record available in October 2026, 888 Starz casino is hard to recommend to anyone. It may interest a player who already uses its sportsbook and accepts an offshore site whose Canadian terms are not public. Everyone else, and especially anyone who wants Interac confirmed, readable bonus rules, a reachable support desk or a provincial licence, should skip it.

Verdict on 888Starz

888Starz suits almost no one who wants clear terms. Its 888starz.bet site holds an active Curacao licence, but two other companies and two other regulators are attached to the brand, and nothing readable says which one a Canadian player contracts with. Its Canadian bonus, wagering, payment methods and support could not be confirmed, which is why the score is so low. Skip it if you want Interac certainty or a provincial licence.
