DraftKings Casino Ontario is the provincially regulated casino of DraftKings, the brand behind DraftKings Sportsbook, run in Canada by its subsidiary Crown DK CAN Ltd. The same company also holds Alberta's new iGaming registration, so both regulated provinces are served by one Canadian operator.
This DraftKings review is built only on what could be checked from public sources on 23 October 2026: the iGaming Ontario directory, the AGLC and Alberta iGaming Corporation registers, a public AGCO enforcement notice and the Canadian App Store listings. DraftKings' Canadian lobby, bonus terms and cashier pages did not load from outside Canada, so where this page says "not verified", it means exactly that. We explain what is known, why the gaps matter and what to check yourself before you deposit.
The DraftKings Casino Ontario and Alberta welcome bonus
We cannot quote a DraftKings Canada welcome offer, because no Canadian bonus page could be opened on 23 October 2026. The casino address returned an access error to our reader, and a US-based reader was shown the American casino instead. American offers do not apply in Ontario or Alberta, so we have not printed any.
That gap matters more than it might seem. Bonus terms decide whether an offer is worth taking, and they differ by market. When you see an offer in the DraftKings app, check these five things in the terms before opting in:
- The wagering multiple, and whether it applies to the bonus alone or to the deposit plus bonus. The second doubles the play needed.
- The time limit for completing it.
- Game weighting: slots often count in full while live-dealer and table games count for less or nothing.
- The maximum bet allowed while a bonus is active.
- Any cap on winnings from bonus money.
The plain-dollar test is always the same: multiply the bonus by the wagering multiple, and that is the total you must bet before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Then divide it by your usual stake to see how many rounds that means. If the answer is more play than you would do anyway, the offer is costing you time and expected losses, not saving you money.
One sourced fact does bear on DraftKings' promotions: Ontario's regulator fined the company in 2022 over how a promotion was advertised. That case is covered in the licence section below.
The casino publishes no welcome-offer terms we could source, so we show none.
Ontario site: Ontario's regulator allows casino bonuses to be advertised only on the casino's own site (AGCO Standard 2.05), so its offer is not listed here.
What we could verify, and what we could not
Most reviews present every fact with the same confidence. We would rather show you where our information stops. This is the state of the DraftKings Canada record as of 23 October 2026:
| Topic | Ontario | Alberta |
|---|---|---|
| Operator and parent company | Verified (iGO directory) | Verified (AGLC, AiGC) |
| Regulator status | Verified, active | Verified, registered to 13 July 2027 |
| Minimum age | Verified, 19+ | Verified, 18+ |
| Apps | Verified, two iOS apps | Verified, same two iOS apps |
| Game types | Partly: live dealer, blackjack, roulette | Not verified |
| Welcome bonus and terms | Not verified | Not verified |
| Payment methods, limits, payout times | Not verified | Not verified |
| Support channels and French | Not verified | Not verified |
| Responsible-gambling tools | Not verified | Not verified |
| Regulator actions | One AGCO penalty (2022) | None found |
"Not verified" is not a criticism of DraftKings. It means the Canadian pages would not load from where our checks run, and we would not substitute American terms or figures repeated on other review sites. We plan to re-read the Canadian pages from inside Canada and update this table.
Games at DraftKings Casino in Canada
The Canadian App Store listing for the DraftKings casino app mentions live-dealer games, blackjack and roulette. That is the full extent of what is sourced. No game count, provider list or set of headline titles could be read for the Ontario or the Alberta site.
We do not fill that gap with figures from the American DraftKings casino. Game libraries can differ from market to market, so a US lobby is not a reliable guide to what a Canadian player sees.
What to check in the lobby
- Whether the slots you know are present, and whether the jackpot games are linked to a progressive pool.
- How many live-dealer tables run at the hours you usually play.
- Whether table limits suit your stake, low or high.
- Whether each game shows its return to player (RTP), the long-run share of stakes it pays back.
Every one of these games has a house edge. A higher RTP means a smaller edge, not a winning game.
Live dealer and blackjack, briefly
Live-dealer tables are streamed from a studio with a real croupier, so rounds run at the table's pace rather than yours, which makes a session longer but slower. Blackjack's edge depends on the table rules, such as how many decks are used and what a blackjack pays, so two blackjack tables in the same lobby can cost you different amounts over time. Read the rules panel on each table before sitting down, and treat roulette as a game of pure chance with no strategy that changes its edge.
Deposits and withdrawals: what we could not confirm
No DraftKings Canada cashier or banking page could be read, so this review does not state which methods are accepted, whether Interac is offered, what the limits are or how long withdrawals take. Our payments score is low for that reason alone; it is not a finding that the cashier is poor.
Before your first deposit, open the cashier in the app and note these points:
- Is Interac e-Transfer available for both deposits and withdrawals?
- Is the account held in Canadian dollars?
- What are the minimum and maximum amounts per transaction, per day and per week?
- Are there fees on either side, from DraftKings or from your bank?
- How long is a withdrawal pending before it is processed, and can it be reversed during that time?
- What identity documents are required before the first withdrawal?
Writing the answers down gives you a record to point to if a payout later takes longer than the cashier said.
The casino publishes no payment table we could source.
DraftKings app Canada: two iPhone apps and the browser
DraftKings runs two iPhone apps in the Canadian App Store:
- DraftKings Casino - Real Money, the casino-only app
- DraftKings Sportsbook & Casino, which combines betting and casino
The combined app has been on the Canadian App Store since 19 May 2022, the listing date, and its description says DraftKings is "live & accepting bets in Ontario and Alberta". The listing gives 19+ for Ontario and 18+ for Alberta. The casino is also available in a browser. An Android listing for Canada was not confirmed in our check, so Android users should start with the browser version.
The DraftKings Ontario casino app and location
The DraftKings Ontario casino app is meant for players in the provinces where DraftKings is registered, and the listing names only Ontario and Alberta, so do not expect to play from Quebec or elsewhere.
Which of the two apps to pick
If you only want casino games, the casino-only app keeps the screen free of betting markets. If you already bet on sports with DraftKings, the combined Sportsbook & Casino app saves switching between two apps. Whichever you choose, check that the app shows your province correctly at sign-up, since the Ontario and Alberta sites sit on different addresses and under different regulators.
Who owns DraftKings? Licence, operator and safety
Who owns DraftKings in Canada is clear from the registers. The operator in both provinces is Crown DK CAN Ltd., a subsidiary of DraftKings Inc., the parent company. The same Ontario operator also runs Golden Nugget Casino and DraftKings Sportsbook.
| Province | Regulator and status | Site named in the register |
|---|---|---|
| Ontario | AGCO registration plus iGaming Ontario operating agreement; active in the iGO directory | DraftKings Casino (casino.draftkings.com) and DraftKings Sportsbook |
| Alberta | AGLC iGaming Operator registration, expires 13 July 2027 | DraftKings.com |
| Alberta | Alberta iGaming Corporation registered site | DraftKings Sportsbook & Casino (draftkings.com) |
The registers we read do not print licence numbers for either site, and no independent testing lab could be identified, so those fields stay empty.
Sister brand: Golden Nugget Casino
Golden Nugget Casino appears in the iGaming Ontario directory under the same operator, Crown DK CAN Ltd. In practice that means the same company, and the same regulatory record, stands behind both casinos in Ontario. If you hold accounts at both, treat them as one operator when you set your overall budget.
The 2022 AGCO penalty
In 2022 the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario issued an Order of Monetary Penalty of CA$100,000 to Crown DK CAN Ltd. for advertising and inducement infractions under Standard 2.05 of its rules. The case concerned a boosted 2:1 odds promotion that aired from 19 to 31 May 2022 on TV and social media. It was a sports-betting promotion, not a casino one, but it was the same company and the same Ontario registration, so it belongs in any honest DraftKings Canada review.
How much weight to give it is your call. The penalty was about advertising, not about paying players, and we found no AGLC action against DraftKings in Alberta. It is still a public record of the operator breaking Ontario's advertising rules, and it is one reason our licence score is 8 rather than higher.
DraftKings support and French
DraftKings support channels for Canada could not be verified. No help-centre page, chat hours, email address or phone number for the Ontario or Alberta sites was readable, and we found no statement on support in French. Our support score reflects missing information, not a known weakness.
Before you need help, find these in the app: where live chat sits, its hours, whether there is an email or phone route, and how to raise a formal complaint. A regulated operator in Ontario or Alberta answers to the provincial regulator, so keep any complaint in writing with dates and amounts.
How to sign up for DraftKings Casino Alberta or Ontario
Getting started at DraftKings depends first on where you are. The steps below use only what the registers and app listings confirm:
- Check your province. DraftKings serves Ontario and Alberta only.
- Check your age. 19+ in Ontario, 18+ in Alberta.
- Choose an app or the browser. On iPhone, either DraftKings Casino - Real Money or DraftKings Sportsbook & Casino; elsewhere, the browser site.
- Register with your real details. Regulated sites check identity, so use the name and address on your ID.
- Read the bonus terms and the cashier before the first deposit, using the checklists above.
- Set a limit before your first session.
- Pick games you understand. The listing names live-dealer games, blackjack and roulette.
Each site serves only its own province, so check the rules on playing while travelling before you leave.
Responsible gambling at DraftKings
DraftKings' Canadian responsible-gambling tools could not be read for this review, so we cannot list which limits, time-outs or self-exclusion options the app offers. Look for them under the account settings before you play, and set a deposit limit first: it is the simplest tool that works.
If you play sports and casino from the same app, keep separate budgets in mind, because one balance can make spending harder to track. Our responsible gambling page lists free, confidential help in Ontario, Alberta and the rest of Canada.
Where Canadians can play DraftKings: Ontario, Alberta and the rest
DraftKings has no offshore site for Canada. Each province it serves has its own regulated lane, and the rest of the country has none.
| Province | Site | Operator | Rules | Age |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ontario | casino.draftkings.com | Crown DK CAN Ltd. | AGCO + iGaming Ontario | 19+ |
| Alberta | draftkings.com | Crown DK CAN Ltd. | AGLC + AiGC, market live since 13 July 2026 | 18+ |
| Quebec | Not served | - | - | - |
| Rest of Canada | Not served | - | - | - |
What provincial regulation means for you
So every DraftKings casino account in Canada sits inside a provincial regime. The two lanes work in a similar way:
- Ontario: the operator is registered with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) and has an operating agreement with iGaming Ontario, the agency that runs the province's private online market.
- Alberta: the operator is registered with Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC) and the site is registered with the Alberta iGaming Corporation (AiGC). This market went live on 13 July 2026.
For a player, the practical upshot is that there is a provincial regulator above the casino. You can check that a site is listed in the iGaming Ontario directory or on the AGLC register yourself, and the AGCO's 2022 penalty shows the regulator does act against a big operator when rules are broken. That is the main difference from an offshore casino, where the only authority is a licensing body abroad.
DraftKings Alberta is new. The province's regulated market opened on 13 July 2026, and DraftKings' AGLC registration runs to 13 July 2027. Because the Alberta terms could not be read either, we have no basis to say whether the Alberta site's offers or limits differ from Ontario's. Assume they may, and read them separately.
For DraftKings online casino Ontario players, the main alternative run by the province itself is OLG; see our OLG review. For other provinces, read playing in Canada.
Our DraftKings Canada review verdict: who it suits
As a DraftKings Canada review, this page comes down to one split. The licence side is strong and fully sourced: one named Canadian operator, active registrations in both regulated provinces, and a parent company that is easy to identify. The player side, meaning bonus, payments, support and tools, could not be verified from outside Canada, and we do not score what we cannot see.
- Suits: Ontario and Alberta players who already bet on sports with DraftKings and want casino games in the same app.
- Skip if: you live anywhere else in Canada, or you want to compare published bonus and payout terms before you join.
We will re-check the Canadian terms and rescore this page when they can be read. Meanwhile, compare it with the other casinos in our reviews, and see how we review for why missing facts lower a score.
