PokerStars Ontario Login and Account Guide

Logging in, recovering a balance and closing a PokerStars account after the Ontario exit

The PokerStars Ontario login is the most confusing part of this brand today. PokerStars Casino, Poker and Sports were in the iGaming Ontario directory on 1 March 2026 and missing from the 13 July 2026 copy and the current list, and FanDuel's Ontario site says PokerStars is now exclusively on FanDuel. An old Ontario page still loads, with a footer naming TSG Interactive Canada Inc and AGCO licence OPIG1232716.

Outside Ontario, Canadians use pokerstars.com, run by TSG Interactive Gaming Europe Limited under a Malta Gaming Authority licence. This guide covers both situations, using only what PokerStars and the regulators publish, as read on 23 October 2026.

PokerStars Ontario login: what changed

For Ontario players, the practical points are these:

  • The regulated PokerStars casino is no longer in the provincial directory, so we do not treat the old Ontario page as a live, regulated site.
  • The brand's Ontario poker now runs inside FanDuel, which asks players to download its app or client. Our FanDuel Casino review covers that site.
  • Ontario law limits online casino play to sites in the iGaming Ontario directory, so pokerstars.com is not an option for players in Ontario either.

A PokerStars Ontario login register page that still answers is not proof that the site is operating. Check the directory on the iGaming Ontario website before you deposit anything.

Main site - pokerstars.com

  • iOS app: https://apps.apple.com/ca/app/pokerstars-casino-slot-games/id1145892643 (PokerStars Casino Slot Games, seller Stars Mobile Limited, in the Canadian App Store; listing does not say which provinces) source
  • Browser play: Yes source
  • Responsible-gambling tools: Deposit limits (weekly); Responsible Gaming tools page source

If you had money on the Ontario site

We found no published notice about balances or a PokerStars Ontario withdrawal verification process after the exit, so we cannot tell you what the operator will ask for. A careful approach:

  1. Log in, if the old account still opens, and note your balance and transaction history with screenshots for your own records.
  2. Contact the operator in writing through the account's help section and ask how to withdraw, and which documents it needs to verify you.
  3. For PokerStars ID verification, keep copies of the ID and proof of address you send, and the dates you sent them.
  4. If you get no answer, contact iGaming Ontario or the AGCO, the bodies that regulated the site when you opened the account.

We found no AGCO penalty against TSG Interactive Canada Inc, so there is no public sign of a dispute; the steps above are simply what protects you.

Opening a PokerStars account outside Ontario

Elsewhere in Canada, a PokerStars account is opened on pokerstars.com. The real-money page lists Canada as a country with its own payment methods, and Canada is not on the site's prohibited-jurisdictions list.

  1. Open pokerstars.com and make sure the Canadian version loads; from other countries the site redirects to local versions.
  2. Register with details that match your ID, choosing Canada as the country.
  3. Set a weekly deposit limit, which the real-money page offers.
  4. Deposit from $10 by Interac, Visa, Instant eChecks, MuchBetter, Payz, Luxon Pay, Mastercard or Apple Pay.

An iPhone app, 'PokerStars Casino Slot Games' from Stars Mobile Limited, is listed in the Canadian App Store, though the listing does not name the provinces it serves. Login PokerStars problems are often location problems, covered below. PokerStars' own age rule for Canada was not captured; the legal age is 19 in most provinces and 18 in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec.

When the login fails

  • Wrong country version: pokerstars.com sends visitors to local sites, such as pokerstars.es from Spain or a US-state page from the United States, so travelling can change what you see.
  • Ontario location: the old Ontario site is off the regulated list, so failures there are expected.
  • Password: use the reset option on the login screen rather than repeated attempts.
  • Look-alike addresses: pokerstars.net is not among the domains in our records for Canadian casino play; the one documented here is pokerstars.com.

PokerStars does not publish chat, email or phone details for Canadian casino players on the pages we could read, so use the help section inside your account.

How to close or delete a PokerStars account

The terms we read do not set out an account-closure procedure for Canada. Anyone wondering how to close PokerStars account access, or searching 'how to delete PokerStars account', should:

  1. withdraw the remaining balance first; Interac and Visa both receive withdrawals;
  2. open the Responsible Gaming tools page linked from the site, which is where breaks and limits are managed;
  3. ask support in writing to close the account and to confirm what data is kept, since a request to delete PokerStars account data is a separate question from closing it.

If you are closing because gambling has become a problem, say so; a formal exclusion protects you better than a simple closure. Our responsible gambling page lists Canadian help services, and the full PokerStars Casino review covers licence and payments.

Gambling should stay a choice

Online gambling in Canada is set province by province. Ontario and Alberta license private operators; the other provinces run their own sites, and casinos licensed abroad are not supervised by any Canadian regulator. Real-money play is for adults: 19+, or 18+ in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec.
