A dash means the casino or regulator publishes nothing we could source. Facts are re-checked before every update.

CanPlay casino free slots, the CanPlay lobby and its Ontario app have gone: CanPlay was an Ontario-regulated online casino in 2023, and later that year its address began redirecting to Stardust Casino. When we checked on 28 October 2026, on.canplaycasino.com did not resolve at all.

This page covers what CanPlay was, the dated evidence for what changed, and what that means for anyone who held an account. It carries no score, because there is no CanPlay site left to rate. Our review method explains how open casinos are scored.

What CanPlay Casino was

Archived copies of on.canplaycasino.com from 7 February to 26 March 2023 show a working casino titled "CanPlay Online Casino | Online Casino Games in Ontario". The site used GeoComply location checks, the mark of a build made for Ontario's regulated market. An archived copy of iGaming Ontario's directory from April 2023 lists CanPlay among the regulated sites, which means it then held an AGCO registration and an iGaming Ontario operating agreement.

No CanPlay-era terms page survives in the archive, so the company that held that registration is not confirmed. The evidence points to Pala Interactive. The iOS app CanPlay used carries the identifier com.palainteractive.canplaycasino.ontario, and the terms of Stardust Casino Ontario, the site that took over the address, name Pala Interactive Canada Inc. as licensed provider. Pala Interactive belongs to Boyd Gaming, which now publishes that app. CanPlay's licence number and launch date were never published in any source we found.

No announcement of the switch was found. The change happened at some point between the last CanPlay capture on 26 March 2023 and the first redirect on 19 October 2023.

CanPlay casino slots and free slots: still available?

No. CanPlay casino slots sat on on.canplaycasino.com and inside the CanPlay app, and neither exists under that name any more. There is therefore no official place left to play CanPlay casino free slots. We hold no record of CanPlay's game list, and there is no CanPlay bonus or free-spins offer for Canadians as of October 2026.

Be careful with sites that still use the name. www.canplaycasino.com, for example, is a separate affiliate and blog site that was never the casino, and any page asking for a deposit under the CanPlay brand should be treated as unverified.

The casino publishes no game counts or provider list we could source.

What happened to CanPlay accounts

We found no notice from CanPlay or Pala Interactive telling former players what became of their accounts or balances, and no source says whether accounts moved across to Stardust. The record shows only that the company and the app carried on under the new name. If you believe money was left in a CanPlay account:

  • Collect any emails, statements and bank records from the time you played.
  • Put the question in writing to Pala Interactive Canada Inc., the provider named in the Stardust Ontario terms; our Stardust Casino review lists that site's support routes.
  • Ignore anyone who asks for a fee to recover a CanPlay balance.

Is CanPlay legal in Ontario? Options for Canadians now

CanPlay is not part of Ontario's regulated market today: it left the iGaming Ontario directory in 2023, and we found no CanPlay site for any other province. How online casinos are regulated across Canada:

  • Ontario: sites registered with the AGCO that hold an iGaming Ontario operating agreement, listed in iGaming Ontario's directory.
  • Alberta: since 13 July 2026, sites registered with the AGLC under an Alberta iGaming Corporation agreement.
  • Other provinces: each province's own site.
  • Minimum age: 19, or 18 in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec.

Verdict on CanPlay Casino

CanPlay Casino no longer exists. It ran as an Ontario-regulated casino in early 2023, was gone from iGaming Ontario's directory by September that year, and by October its address was redirecting to Stardust Casino. On 28 October 2026 on.canplaycasino.com did not resolve. There is nothing to score and no CanPlay offer or free slots to assess. Former players with a balance question should write to the company behind Stardust Ontario.

Gambling should stay a choice

Online gambling in Canada is set province by province. Ontario and Alberta license private operators; the other provinces run their own sites, and casinos licensed abroad are not supervised by any Canadian regulator. Real-money play is for adults: 19+, or 18+ in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec.
