A PlayAlberta login gives you the province's own online casino, sportsbook and lottery in one account. The site belongs to Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis, the Crown agency that also regulates gambling in the province, and its revenue goes to Alberta's General Revenue Fund. It accepts only players who are 18 or older and physically in Alberta.
Since July 2026 PlayAlberta has shared the province with privately run casinos registered with AGLC, so the question is no longer whether it is the only legal choice but whether it is a good one. This PlayAlberta casino review answers that from the site's own terms, offers and contact pages, checked in October 2026. PlayAlberta writes amounts with a $ sign; we show them as C$.
The PlayAlberta welcome offer and its two codes
New casino players choose between two codes, as listed on the new-player offers page in October 2026.
- CASINOMATCH1000: C$1 of casino bonus for every C$1 deposited, up to a C$1,000 deposit match on the first deposit of C$10 or more. It also includes one C$50 sports bonus bet and 60 bonus spins on 7s Wild, paid 10 a day for 6 days.
- 100CASINOBONUS: deposit C$10 or more and receive a C$100 casino bonus.
The match carries 20x wagering, the C$100 bonus 8x and the bonus spins 1x. Each daily batch of spins expires after 24 hours, so collecting all 60 means coming back on six separate days. At 1x, a spin win only has to be wagered once before it counts as cash, which makes the spins the most player-friendly part of the package. Not every casino, instant or live dealer game counts in full towards the play-through; the bonus terms link to the list.
Which code is better, in dollars
The terms we read give the 20x but do not say whether it applies to the bonus alone or to deposit plus bonus. The table uses the lighter reading, the bonus alone, so treat these as minimums.
| First deposit | CASINOMATCH1000 bonus | Wagering at 20x | 100CASINOBONUS bonus | Wagering at 8x |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| C$10 | C$10 | C$200 | C$100 | C$800 |
| C$100 | C$100 | C$2,000 | C$100 | C$800 |
| C$500 | C$500 | C$10,000 | C$100 | C$800 |
| C$1,000 | C$1,000 | C$20,000 | C$100 | C$800 |
For a first deposit of C$100 or less, the 8x code gives at least as much bonus for far less play. The match only pulls ahead in bonus size above C$100, and the price is a steep rise in wagering. The match does add the spins and the sports bet, which matter only if you would use them. No maximum bet or bonus expiry was stated on the pages we read.
Is there a PlayAlberta casino no deposit bonus?
No. Both welcome codes need a deposit of at least C$10, and no no-deposit casino offer appears on the offers page. Existing players get weekly bonus credits that can be used across live dealer, casino, sports, instant games and lottery; their size is not stated on the public pages.

Games on the PlayAlberta online casino
PlayAlberta describes its slots as hundreds of games plus progressive jackpots, and it also runs live dealer tables and instant games. It does not publish a total, a split by category or a list of studios on any page we could read, which is why the games score here is low. The platform behind the site is NeoPollard Interactive, named in the terms.
Titles the casino itself promotes include:
- 7s Wild, the game used for the welcome spins
- Cash Eruption
- Huff N' More Puff
- Big Bass Amazon Xtreme
- Dark Waters 2 Power Combo
No testing laboratory and no payout percentage are published. Being government-run does not change the maths of the games: each title keeps a house edge.
The same account also covers sports betting and lottery products, which is a practical difference from casino-only brands. The sports welcome is separate from the casino one: C$200 in sports bonus bets with code 200INSPORTSBETS, plus 40 bonus spins.
- Slots: Hundreds of exciting slot games; progressive jackpots source
Titles the casino features: 7s Wild, Cash Eruption, Huff N' More Puff, Big Bass Amazon Xtreme, Dark Waters 2 Power Combo source
Deposits, withdrawals and the deposits-are-final rule
The payment list is short and Canadian. Interac is confirmed in both directions, and no crypto is offered.
- INTERAC e-Transfer: deposit from C$5, withdraw from C$10.
- PayPal: deposit from C$5, withdraw from C$10.
- Visa and Mastercard: deposit from C$5, no withdrawals.
- Apple Pay: deposit from C$5, no withdrawals.
- Electronic bank transfer: withdrawals only, from C$10.
PlayAlberta does not publish withdrawal times or fees on its public pages, so we cannot quote them. Deposits are capped at C$25,000 a day and C$100,000 a week, and an account balance limit also applies.
Only winnings can be withdrawn
The clause that surprises players is in section 5.03 of the player agreement. Under the site's anti-money-laundering policy, deposits are final and only winnings can be taken out. If you deposit and change your mind before playing, the deposit stays in the account. Deposit only what you are prepared to play with.
What the caps mean in practice
The C$25,000 daily and C$100,000 weekly ceilings are the site's outer limits, not a target. Setting your own deposit limit well below them is worth doing, and on a site where a deposit cannot be taken back out, it is the simplest protection you have.
Section 4.09 adds that an account left inactive for a year may be closed, and a balance under C$10 forfeited.
| Method | Deposit | Withdrawal | Min | Max | Time | Fee |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Visa / Mastercard source | Yes | No | $5 | – | – | – |

- Withdrawal limits: minimum withdrawal $10.00; deposit caps $25,000 per day / $100,000 per week; account balance limit applies source
The PlayAlberta app and mobile play
The PlayAlberta app on iPhone is called Play Alberta Casino & Sports and was released on the Canadian App Store on 1 October 2024. It combines the casino and sportsbook in one download.
No Android app is named on the pages we checked, so Android users should plan on the mobile browser, which the site supports. Whichever route you use, the site only accepts play from inside Alberta, so leaving the province means losing access until you return.
Who runs PlayAlberta: licence, owner and safety
PlayAlberta is operated by AGLC, the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Commission. AGLC is a Crown agency of the Government of Alberta, and it appears in its own iGaming operator list as Play Alberta, with no expiry date. Technology comes from NeoPollard Interactive, the platform company named in the terms.
That makes PlayAlberta the most direct form of provincial oversight available in Alberta: the regulator and the operator are the same body. There are no sister brands and no private parent company. We found no public enforcement action concerning the site.
The flip side is that some features players take for granted elsewhere are simply not published: game counts, studios, payout times and payout percentages. Safety here comes from who owns the site, not from detailed disclosure.
Support and language
Support runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, by live chat and by phone on 1-833-920-1447. Written questions go through a contact form rather than a published email address. A phone line is a genuine plus for anyone who prefers talking to typing.
The site is English only. French is not offered on the site or listed for support.
PlayAlberta login and sign-up
Registration is short, but two checks happen in the background: your location and your identity.
- Be in Alberta when you register and every time you play. The site requires physical location within the province.
- Be 18 or older, in line with Alberta's gambling age.
- Enter your personal details. PlayAlberta confirms identity through an Equifax Canada soft inquiry, via PlayAlberta and NeoPollard Interactive.
- Enter CASINOMATCH1000 or 100CASINOBONUS with your first deposit if you want a welcome offer.
Your PlayAlberta casino login then works for casino, sports and lottery alike. If a login fails, the 24/7 chat and phone line are the routes to use; location is the first thing to check when you are near the provincial border or travelling.
Responsible-gambling tools
PlayAlberta lists deposit limits, an account balance limit, the GameSense programme and the AGLC self-exclusion programme. The weekly and daily deposit caps described above apply to everyone, whether or not you set your own.
AGLC self-exclusion covers Alberta's regulated gambling, not offshore sites or other provinces. Because deposits on PlayAlberta cannot be withdrawn, a limit set before your first deposit matters even more here. GameSense contacts and other provincial help lines are on our responsible gambling page.
Where PlayAlberta fits among Alberta's options
For PlayAlberta online casino reviews to be useful, they have to set the site against the alternatives. Alberta now has three kinds of online casino, and they are not regulated the same way.
| PlayAlberta | Private Alberta sites | Offshore sites | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Who runs it | AGLC, a Crown agency | Private companies | Private companies |
| Licensing | Operated by the provincial regulator | AGLC registration plus an Alberta iGaming Corporation agreement, live since 13 July 2026 | Not licensed by any province |
| Minimum age | 18 | 18 | Set by each site |
| Covered by AGLC self-exclusion | Yes | Yes | No |
Private brands with Alberta sites in our reviews include Lucky Days, BetMGM, bet365, Jackpot City and Zodiac. Our guide to playing in Canada explains how each province organises its market.
What PlayAlberta does not publish
A review built only on what a casino states has to be clear about the gaps. As of October 2026 these points were not on any public PlayAlberta page we could read:
- the total number of games and the split between slots, tables and live dealer
- the studios that supply the games
- withdrawal times and any withdrawal fees
- a maximum bet or an expiry date for the welcome bonuses
- whether the 20x applies to the bonus or to deposit plus bonus
- a testing laboratory certificate or a published payout percentage
- an Android app
None of these is a red flag on its own, and some may be visible once you are logged in. They are, however, the questions to put to live chat before a large first deposit, especially given that deposits are final.
PlayAlberta CA reviews: who the site suits
PlayAlberta reviews on this site use the same six sub-scores as every private brand, and the result is 6.5. It is a sound choice for an Albertan who values provincial ownership, wants to move money by Interac or PayPal, and likes the option of phoning support at any hour. The 8x C$100 bonus is the lighter of the two welcome codes, and the 1x spins are close to free play.
It suits less well a player who wants to compare studios, browse a large live casino or see published payout times, because none of that is disclosed. And anyone used to withdrawing an unused deposit should read section 5.03 first. Our review method explains each sub-score, and the private Alberta brands are in our casino reviews.
